Who is the inventor of the turbocharger?It is well accepted that Switzerland engineer Bisi who declared this patent in 1905. Turbocharger was mainly used for engines of airplanes and tanks at that time, until 1961 General Motors was used for turbocharger exploringly in their some vehicles. It was a turning point for the turbocharger 1970s, the porsche 911 with engine turbocharger came out . But it was Swedish SAAB company let the turbo technology bloom, turbo technology was propagated widely due to SAAB company pushed SAAB99 model in 1977, but the turbocharger was limited to be used for the cars with gasoline engines. Until the mid - 80s, the European and America truck manufacturers used the turbo technology for their diesel engine respectively,domestic car with turbocharger is popular in recent 10years.

Engine stalled immediately is not allowed

The engine stalled immediately is not allowed after engine worked long time with high speed. Some oil is offer lubrication and cool down for turbocharger rotor when engine is working. Working engine stalled suddenly , the oil pressure falls down to zero quickly. high temperature in the turbine transfers to middle, heat in the bearing and casing can’t go quickly meanwhile rotor is still turning with high speed as inertia. So engine stalled suddenly which is working will damage the bearing and rotor as too high temperature oil in the turbocharger. Specially to avoid to rush to refuel after stalled.

Keep cleaning 

It should keep cleaning when disassemble turbocharger. Each pipe joints should be blocked by cleaning rags to avoid impurities entering into turbocharger to damage rotor. Don’t touch and damage compressor when repairing, It should do balancing testing if it needs to change compressor. Then to get out rags when assembling finished.

Improving the engine power: It can increase the air density in the cylinder to let engine inject more fuel under the changeless displacement of engine,then to improve the power of engine. The power and torque will increase 20% ~ 30% after installing the turbocharger. Otherwise, it can reduce the engine cylinder diameter, also the volume and weight of the engine under the same power output requirement.

Improving the engine emissions: Turbocharger can reduce the nitrogen oxide and other harmful components in the engine exhausting through improving the combustion efficiency of engine. It is indispensable configuration to achieve over the EU two emission standard for diesel engine .
